…Would I Fall?

“If I tried to catch you, you would fall…”

Maybe you should have said that a little earlier

It’s a little late.

True to being a 5 year old

I fell in love from our first date

I never believed it was real

Soul mates

Kindred spirits

Love at first sight

Haha! 😄

I totally felt white

No offense

It’s atypical for Jamaica

Here I was…

Literally, falling in love.

I fell for her first,

It was just 5 minutes

And bam!

We were ‘besties’

Tickling, laughing, playing all night

I saw myself in her

That side I refuse to let go

Carefree yet smart

Best friends even before I can recall your name

Ha! Yup

At 21, I still do that.

I love easy

And I love hard

Because if you get to know people

You’d love everyone anyway

Which is why I chose my profession

No one should be perpetually sad.

No one.

So honey, let me help you

Heal you

Love you back to life

And even if we don’t make it

I’ll still be alright.

You said what I already knew

Your eyes tell your story much better than you do

They aren’t scared

I sense that you are too…

And that my friend

Is ok.

But as we always say,

It’s a mind thing.

So hey,

let’s let go

And let God.
